After nearly 7 years of ownership the time has come to sell my 1990 H reg Pulsar in black. The mileage is showing approx 197,000 but this is a mixture of km and miles. I estimate the mileage to be approx 120,000 miles. The spec is as follows:
Engine:
Top end rebuild at approx 60,000 miles. This was done just before I bought the car and I have receipts for new cams, cam chain, piston rings and various other work, all done to standard spec.
Walbro uprated fuel pump
Blitz SUS induction kit
HKS SSQV
GTIR spares front mount intercooler kit
Blue Flame elbow back exhaust with 5” rolled tip
Oil catch can
Hi-teq air filter relocation pipe
Apexi AVCR boost controller
Mines ECU
Air con removed
Suspension:
GAB adjustable shocks with lowering springs
Poly ARB bushes front and rear
Cusco front adjustable strut brace
Whiteline rear strut brace
Whiteline rear antiroll bar
Both track rod ends and lower ball joints replaced recently
Wheels and Tyres:
Kosei Sniper 7x17” wheels in good condition with Toyo Proxes T1S 205/40/ZR17 tyres, fairly worn
Bodywork:
Laguna front splitter
Body is in reasonable condition, there are a few rust patches and a badly repaired patch on the rear quarter. It needs a bit of TLC to get it back to it’s best but it does polish up nicely.
Clutch and Gearbox:
Both standard but never had any problems, I’m not sure if the clutch has ever been replaced but it works perfectly and doesn’t slip.
It has had the clutch support bracket fitted as long as I have had the car so no nasty creaking there.
I have always serviced the car regularly replacing all fluids using top quality products. I have used the car as a daily driver almost all the time I have owned it and the only time it has ever let me down was when the alternator died. It’s not the cleanest or fastest Pulsar around but is a genuine, reliable example and I have spent hours and hours over the years
keeping it running well.
It currently has about 10 months to run on the MOT but has only done a couple of hundred miles since. It is not currently taxed but I would tax it for 6 months once sold.
Pics available on request.
£1400 SOLD And starting to regret it... :-(
