best dual stage mechanical boost device

Hi there people!

As I'm in the market for a new device to control my boost (Blitz SBC melted!!! ) I'm now considering my options in mounting a decent mechanical device instead of all the electronic boost controller everyone is using.

This because there are so many problems with electronic devices; spiking like a b*tch on weather changes, Having to trash the car in self-learning mode, and the attraction of thieves on the funky gadgets like the avcr. Anyways, only requirement that I have is that I can run 2 boost levels. (1.0 and 1.2)

These are the options I found, please let me know if you have experiece with one of them, or let me know wich unit you would buy and why.

The turbosmart one looks quite good

It'll be interesting to see the responses to this.

I'm thinking of getting that one myself  , Nice and simple just a k n o b to turn 8) .

As long as you have a good boost gauge I can't see a problem with fitting one like this :D .

As Rob said with a mechanical boost controller i'd defiantly have a desent boost gauge to set it up with.

I've got a Dawes Device and think its really good for the money, they prevent spiking and spool up is also faster. You can wire in whatever button you want in the car too.

Just my opinion.

Very nice one vpulsar!

Will keep that one in mind aswell. Nice and small. and cheap too.
you know someone who's using it?

Since I like performance parts to be hidden(the bigger the surprise),
This one's nice aswell, It's the same unit as my first link (the turbosmart one)
they have a new so called "sleeper series" totally black without any "bling factor", so it's not noticed that quick under bonnet.

Nr. 12 is the dual stage boost controller on the pic

Doesn't Mike (Ex-Gtir ) do a 2 stage thing with the factory boost solenoid?
Try pm'ing him and ask him
