Apexi world sport exhaust?

A friend has an apexi world sport exhaust sitting in his garage that has not been used much (so he says). I was wondering if this muffler can be mounted transversly and hung similar to the stock one? 3" is the inlet into the muffler, but I think it's straight in and through. I'm not sure, but can anybody confirm if I can mount an exhaust transversely in the GTi-R?

You can, providing the muffler isn't too large. You'll probably need to weld appropriate hangers on it, along with custom bending a pipe to connect to the rest of the system.
And cut out a part of the rear bumper for the tailpipe.
