just wondering if the apexi avcr's allow adjustment on how soon the turbo spools?
my latest r (running avcr) feels quite laggy compared to my old r, on which i just drilled a hole in the standard boost solinoid to raise the boost to 1bar.

cheers chaps

If it's anything like the Profec B, then I presume you can.

The way I understand it, on the Profec, the closer you adjust the 'set gain' (when the wastegate starts to open) to the 'set' (desired boost) the faster the spool-up will be. Too close and you get boost spikes.

Does the Apexi have similar settings?

the apexi is a bit mad when it comes to setting it up right matey as ive found with mine.you will probbo find the settings are fine and that you need to check for boost leaks

hmm dunno though man, it does boost up and sits around 1bar,sometimes 0.8 bar, got reciepts for the avcr being setup at 1.1 at engine advantages, dont think theyve done a very good job though... turbo doesnt kick in until 4.5k, pretty sure my old r was a fair bit sooner

think the only way to find out is plum the standard solinoid back in and drill the '1bar mod' hole in it LOL

You need to play around with the 'Start duty'. I believe this has a similar effect to the 'gain' setting on the Profec B. Obviously though, the basic settings of the unit need to be perfect first !
If you have a look over on the MLR, there is/was a very good guide to setting up the AVC-R there !
