Apexi AVC-R/tuning Question

My car hasn't been tuned since I've had another engine put in and I was just wondering wether it needs to be tuned properly before fitting an
AVC-R boost controller?? If so should I fit the unit then have it tuned or vice versa?
Maybe it doesn't have to be tuned at all?
How important is it??
Sorry but don't know alot about this and want to find out before I think about buying the unit!
Powerstation said I'd be better off letting them install a Uni-chip with add on boost controller but I like the idea of the Apexi display and all the different funtions etc :D

Any help appreciated guys

would be best to install the avcr first, that way, you can match the ignition/fuelling to the boost it will be running (if you have any control over the fuelling) :?:

Why have you had to put a new engine in though, if it was dodgy fuelling/detting badly, it would be a good idea to make sure it isnt still doing it :?

Thats because they sell unichips, not apexi stuff (although they probably are right, to be fair)

Cheers Davey

I'm probably going to go the uni-chip way, but at the moment I'm still trying to sort out my on going problem of engine and electrical noise interference!!!! :x :x :x
Cant wait to get it sorted once and for all as I'm so fed up of scraping through off the lights! I want to whip these muppets!
