Help !!!!!!

Had the back to work blues this week so thought I'd treat myself by having a blast in the Pulsar to/from work.

Started fine but after 200 metres felt a bit jerky, didnt get any better and wouldn't rev past 2500 revs (felt like it had a rev limiter set at 2.5k).

Pulled in and did some basic checks and realised the Apexi wasn't working. Soon realised that the wires at the back were on display (had obviously dislodged them when cleaning the car over Christmas). Had limited tools on me so in trying to get the back of the Apexi off, managed to crack the screen . Found a loose connection which I tried to glue back in place but it wouldnt stick. Limped home and tried again but couldnt get it to stick in place. Essentially it's FUBAR and I want to remove it. The car now wont start at all (turns over but just wont fire up).

Dismantled some of the centre console / dash and disconnected the Apexi at the first connection. Long story short, where does the rest of the wiring lead to (the ECU?) how do I un-plumb the remainder ? will the car then just run as normal or will it need setting up etc etc ? Trying to work out whether it's a simple job or whether I need specialist help ? Could a decent auto-electrician sort this out ? Can any of the local boys help / advise me on this or what would you recommend ? Assuming the Apexi leads to the ECU (which is a non-standard programmable type) - could I just remove this ECU and put a stock unit back in ?

Jon - if you're logged in, you no doubt installed this so might be able to give me some advice.

What an expensive drive to work that was !

Cheers
