the flange is held into the box that driveshaft bolts to?

had it on the lift y'day and there was a bit of movement there and a very slight leak, mechanic wanted to know how this is held??

also checked the gearbox oil which was overfilled? doh :roll: :roll:

Yup just give it a good tug .

It held in by a clip on the end of the drive shaft on the driver's side and an internal clip on the passenger side .

wot type of internal clip is it on the drivers side?

It's not internal on the driver's side mate it should come out with the drive shaft It's a little ring of sprung steel and it fit's in a grove on the end of the shaft.

sorry, put that last post down wrong, its the passenger side 1 he wasnt sure on how it was held in internally-sorry mate :roll:
