anyone ever had a prop go out of balance??

Had a bit of a vibration for a while now, and its starting to really bug me :( .
It starts above 60 mph, and feels like it resonates through the whole car front to rear, keeps going 70 - 80 - 90 etc.
Swapped the wheels front to back - felt a bit better I think, but still there.
Had all my wheels balanced - no difference.
Tried a different set of wheels - still felt the vibration.

So this makes me think that the prop might be contributing, not had time to have a propper look yet. Doesn't feel like one wheel to me when driving it tho cos of the way it resonates from front to back, doesn't stay in one corner if you know what I mean??

Just wondered if anyone else had ever experienced this??
Any suggestions welcome.

Any of the gearbox bearings?

You could always try and get the prop shaft balanced, that will rule it out.

check to see if any of the balance weights have fell off the prop, should have a few tacked on, jeff

Cheers for the feedback.
Brakes are fine, its deff a speed related prob.
Dont think its the gearbox :)shock: pray), its more of a shudder than a bearing grind/rumble if you know what I mean.
I think getting the prop balanced might be a winner, I just didnt expect it could go out of balance by itself, will have a look for missing balance weights. Hopefully it'll just need a 2p superglued to it in the right place.
