Anybody want to change my clutch?

Hey guys,

Is there anybody local to me (Tadley, Hampshire), that would be up for changing my clutch? I'll be willing to help out as much as possible and pay for your time. I dont have a garage at the moment so cant be done at mine unfortunately..

Also while im at it, anybody know of local MOT stations that are Pulsar friendly? Ive heard because its 4WD a normal MOT station wont be able to do its rolling road brake test and if they did it would mess up the transfer box?? Is this right?

Cheers,

Dan

A normal MOT station can do it for you bud, but they can't use the rolling road, they have a special box they put in the car.

Also as its a 92 import it doesn't need a cat and only needs to meet the very basic emissions standard, so don't let them bullshit you about that.

Can't help with the clutch sorry ;)

I don't fully understand it, but its something to do with the diffs I think, it can damage them.

They are supposed to use a little device that goes in the car and senses how well the brakes are working.

Isnt it some sort of g-force meter that they use inside the car? I was told that apparently, using the roller brake tester 'wont do too much damage' to the diffs!  I told him thanks very much but I'd wait til his in-car-box-type-thingy was calibrated properly.

It is a g-meter of sorts. Quite simple, they just take the car up & down the road and brake normally.

Its spinning the front wheels of the car, and not the back, and would probs munch the diff straight away !

Same as if you ever need to be towed, must be all 4 wheels, or a dolly on the back wheels.
