Alternator

As said monday night the engine went pop and started making dying noises.

Ended up getting towed home.

looking at the alternator today when engine is turning over, its smoking like its on fire

is it hard job to change, looking at it its one large bolt to un screw and two small nuts.

The bolt that it pivots on doesn't come fully out (or wouldn't on mine) as it hits the exh manifold. I dropped the air-con pump and removed the bolts holding the alternator bracket to the block to get it off!
