Aftermarket Con Rod

Just wondering

who make aftermarket rod for RNN14

I have one used aftermarket Conrod.
dont know the brand.
but it fit RNN14 crankshaft
no extra space/ fit nicely.
and bearing sitting area is 19mm but using 17mm Nismo bearing

Wondering what company produce the Conrod that fit RNN14

AFAIK Silvia spec Rod cannot fit RNN14 nicely due to the smaller size
but this one fit directly

that is a silvia rod then

silvia rods can fit the gtir crank with silvia bearings (the nismo ones you have are silvia bearings)

you mean silvia aftermarket rod with silvia bearing will fit to RNN14 crank nicely without gap at all

All the while ,i thought the Silvia Rod wide measurement is smaller than RNN14
so when fitted on RNN14 crank it will have gap

sorry.. i never open a silvia rod before, so no idea about the measurement



by the way,
the car come with Aftermarket LSD again
will opening the box to see what gear it have since the engine is fully loaded
and OS GIKEN R2CD clutch :shock:

Sonds like a silvia rod.

If your wanting to upgrade I suggest Shot Peening rather than going an aftermarket brand.

Short peening ? what it the progress about ?

er the car come with that// no need to buy
since it already included as well

unless you said that short peening a GTIR rod
will make it more durable than Silvia aftermarket rod
that will make me think twice since i might sell it off the rod.

Jun Piston 87mm ( one damaged ,sigh, can buy one piece only ?? )
Aftermarket Conrod ( suspected is Jun. i have no idea for this )
Nismo bearing for conrod
Main bearing still RNN14
Bored and ported throttle body
HKS 256, 264 cam with HKS Cam pulley no idea on retainer , spring so on
OS Giken R2CD Clutch
Bigger valve ( dunno what brand not yet have look )

Aftermarket LSD and prolly gearbox as well since totally different from other GTiR gearbox i have

The interesting part is the crank pulley// it is lightened
i will weight it when i have time

Oil pump is different a bit.. will have a look later
