Hi,
My mate has a problemm with his AFM connection. So he got another standard AFM plug with about 5cm of wires connected to still connected to it (3 wires that go into the plug). My question is that can we just cut the old plug of and crimp the 3 wires together. Or is it better to solder them and heat shrink/wrap?
I'm looking to help him do this today or at latest tomorrow. Depends on how many answers i get really.
p.s people who use the z32 MAF, do they crimp the wires together with the new plug adapter they get or solder it? and would there be any difference between soldering and crimping as I heard that soldering gives you a better connection. Need to make sure on this one as the AFM is a very important connection. Don't want the car running on air and lean! could completely destroy his engine and he'd blame it on me
Thansk again.
