if one of the abs sensors is faulty can all of the abs be removed as i cant find a cheap sensor to replace it with at the moment or is there a fuse anywer that i can remove to temporarily stop it from working?

there is a fuse but i think you still get the annoying orange light even with the fuse removed.you might just have to bite the bullet with the price of the sensor(£400 + vat) as it`s very difficult to get them out without damaging them as they are usually rusted in.

how much does that sensor cost for the daewoo and is it easy to fit so if i give it to my mechanic he will be able to do it and not just say he cant do it?

i could get u a sensor quite cheap.then u have to open up the abs sensor hole by about 1mm then just slot it in,put the securiong bolt in, and connect it to you normal abs loom ,cut the nissan abs loom and connect it to the daewoo one :)

it worked for me and saved me loads

What is wrong with the sensor?

On another car that I had the sensor had become a little corrodid and the guy at a brake specialist garage managed to clean it up and measure the tolerances of the electronic pulses. It worked perfectly after that.

Might be worth a visit to someone who knows what they are doing I think that cost me £50. Much better than buying a new sensor :p

that was from nissan.wonder if they`ve quoted for the main abs unit instead of just the nsf sensor
