Picked up my GTiR from Fusion on Friday, too much traffic on way home and was busy on Saturday but with some ok weather, had the chance to take her out on Sunday.
To say I was nervous was an understatement but after finding a clear bit of road, I decided to see what 600bhp felt like in a GTiR.
Started easy in 1st, changed to 2nd and the tyres lit up, my heart rate was pumping at this point so quickly changed into 3rd gear and in came the boost again. OMG, before I knew it, I had hit the rev limiter so changed into 4th gear and continued to floor it.
It has been a while but I am used to running the car at 550bhp but the car felt so much smoother than before and notably quicker. I think having the Cam's dialled in properly has made the car much smoother which is great.
A little while later after my heart rate had come down to normal, I decided to give it another blast. Again, wheel spin in second, changed into 3rd and then 4th. This time was a little different, I had not planted my accelerator right down previously so this time it was right foot down to the floor.
All I can say is that the Car's power took my breath away, it is scarily quick and will take some practice before I feel comfortable driving to her full potential.
Its hard to explain the feeling you get but the best way I would describe is that the car is too fast and shouldn't be allowed on the road.
Big thanks to Ed at Fusion for everything. The car seems to handle the power just fine which is positive for us all.
So, for anyone thinking of a 600bhp conversion, yes its awesome and takes your breath away but it is as scary as so Id recommend setting up the car at 500 / 550bhp and get used to that before hand as the car is already awesomely quick at 500bhp.
