Is it possible just to spin the lump upside still all together and wipp the sump and crank off and just pull the rods and pistons out in and slide new pistons and rods in with new bearings and rod bolts and bolt it back up, my mates 200sx has a worn oil ring and thought as same sr20 as us would he be able to do this? as long as the bores are fine?

i dont think it is, im not 100% but i think the pistons have to come out the top, so the head will have to come off.
