Y Bracket

Hi guys

I have removed the rear brackets from the engine today. I know that a lot of people remove the Y bracket but if you want to continue to use the TMIC it looks to me as if you need it. In addition it seems a to offer a fair amount of support to the inlet system.

Which is the bit of the bracket that get in the way so bad? I am thinking of cutting it down so I can keep it in but avoid the problems associated with having the bracket in place.

does it not have to be there for the top mount fixings?
