heh guys and gals:) .....anyone know how much weight these will save on the standard glass and does anyone have and use them...ie what are the like to fit and drive with...do they flap about,do they sit snugly how they should...and whats your opinions on them?only ask as my car is going for new paint soon and was thinking of sticking these in before then as the rear is bonded.

They weigh about half of the glass.
Fronts do move enough that if you lower the window while driving, it's a pain to get them to locate in the runner at the top of the window when putting them up.
I don't know about the rear sides as I haven't fitted them yet.

If you mean the one in the tailgate, it's fitted to my tailgates stunt double and I'm hoping to fit it on the car this weekend. Fit wasn't perfect, there's a slight highspot where the curve is slightly out, but not realy anything to worry about unless you want perfection.

I bought it as a set of 5, so couldn't say. This is the email I got at the time, but prices may have changed now. I got the Lexan. I would recommend people get them moulded too.

Are these as clear as glass? Normally plastic isn't clear enough to use as windows wright?

How about in the winter? You can't scratch your windows. And the rear heating can't be used eather I presume.

Ramon

Yes, they're as clear as glass. They are quite tough, but I would expect the fronts to scratch eventually with repeated up and downs.
Nope, no rear demister.

I think it was something like 2kg each front, 1.75kg each side and 2kg hatch. Give or take abit. I did weigh them, but can't remember where I put the figures.
