Spec :

low comp pistons complete bottom end rebuild
full mongoose exaust with 5" slash cut tail
FMIC
top mount oil cooler
cusco oil seperator
after market air filter

Have the boost currently set to 18psi (1.2bar?) by a manual boost controller with no problems that I'm aware of.

Curious as to what I can turn the boost upto with the above spec/stock turbo? Also the previous owner said there's a walbro pump fitted, but tbh there's no history of it. Just his say so.

How good is the stock fuel pump if there's no walbro fitted?

Thanks for any info!! :-D

I wouldnt turn it up any higher. Its really time you looked at some managment of some kind to look after your mods, then the guess work is removed and you can do the jop properly.

Yeah find out for sure that you have a walbro and get your fuelling set up with an emanage or power fc
1.2 bar is quite high to run on guess work and a walbro alone.
The stock turbo is only good for about 1.2 bar anyway (by good I mean at its highest efficiency) so you're pretty much on the limit. What injectors are you running also - standard? If youre standard injectors are anything like mine then they max out at 1.1 bar so you could be maxing your injectors out and starving the engine of fuel causing DET but everyones injectors are different.

My advice -
Check the walbro is there and working well
Check your fuel pressure is good
Get an emanage of power fc to manage your fuelling
get an electronic boost controller (greddy profec b spec 2)
Get some 550cc injectors

Get it all setup properly and you'll be laughing
