Water feed for turbo

Lads just wondering if its safe 2 leave the water feed of the turbo,,

I was takin 2 my mechanic last nite and hes said it was not essential 2 leave it on. Can some 1 please shed some light on this for me

it prolongs the life of the bearings in the turbo by keeping them cool. Remove the water lines and your oil has to do the cooling where the water left off. You can leave it off but its not recommended

Well the oil will cool it and I know some cars don't have one at all.I don't think Nissan would have put it on though if they didn't blah blah blah....

quite a few of the cossie boys run with out them as when they break there original metal feed pipes they cost over 100 quid to replace

with the ford boys too if runnung big turbos can make the car overheat

If you _do_ leave it off the turbo, make sure you plug it up. Mine fell off and the coolant dried up. The motor overheated and I blew a water pump.

I'm pretty sure you'll arse your turbo if you leave the water line off.
