walbro fuel pump

tried to fit this on saturday with no joy, fitted pump and tried to start car well tried pumping petrol back through to no avail after about the 6th attempt the pump stopped working i, took cover off realised my mate has wired it up wrong, changed wires round no joy then put the standard pump back in case hes ****ed the new one still to no avail. anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be.

surely the pump if wired up wrong will only try to push the fuel rather that pull it>?? how did you try to join the wires to the pump maybe they were shorting out against each other?

same as i though but when i put standard pump in i expected it to work, but it aint, tried to see if a fuse was away all is fine im wondering if the fuse for the fuel pump in engine bay is away.
