I need the orginal spec and dimensions of a STANDARD flywheel.

My flywheel has been skimmed but i think it's over done. I don't think it's thick enough now causing my clutch and gears not to engage

Also, at which points do you measure the thickness of the flywheel?

please any help would be much appricated.........

Andy, i've just measured my flywheel (its never been re faced as far as i know)

I measured the outer part before where it steps down to the starter teeth and it was 12.3 mm

That was measured with a cheap and nasty vernier though cos my good digital one is at work :(

I work for a metrology company and we sell all kinds of digi (and mech) verniers as well as digi bore mics and larger machines such as hardness testers etc....

If anyone needs any equiptment drop me a PM and I'll give you details and sort you out with some good stuff at decent prices :)

I had this Andy, and it turned out that the flywheel was too rough as the AP clutch i was using was damn hard.

I had to get the flywheel skimmed to an almost mirror finish (As near to in cast!!) to get it to work.
