Torque Resistor ???

What is this? Heard it's a mount and o-ring that helps keep the gearbox in place or something :?

Would this cause the car to get a clinking noise when changing gear or get a knocking feeling throigh the gearstick?

Thanks again :)

Last time I got a clunking on a car when changing gear was just before a differential died on me.

It could be worn engine mounts too tho, as they'll let the whole lump/box assembly move along with your gear stick. Sometimes you can get tell tale lumps in your bonnet

heard that the toqrue resisitor is rubber mount that keeps the engine and gearbox in place. Apparently it's a common fault on Ford's
