Standard ECU differences?

Are there different versions of the Pulsar ECU?

I have a unichip wired into my loom but Paul at Engine Advantages cannot get it mapped out. On my car when the wheels turn the engine ignition is cut, as if a safety measure

It's not something he or the boffins at Unichip have come across before.

Now mines a later model on the L plate, is it possible my ECU is chipped or simply a later revision that doesnt work in the same way?

I was thinking of selling the unichip and just getting a pre-chipped ECU as my car is fairly standard with just a FMIC and 1.1 bar boost.

But if anyone has any suggestions first?

Modifications to the original ECU when the car was in Japan? Or maybe part of your alarm system / turbo timer ?

All else fails let me know how much you want for the unichip ;)

Yeah, wonder if I can get insurance discount for that

I wondered about that originally, but i've changed the whole alarm system and it still does the same, no turbo timer.

I may well sell it as it's just gathering dust right now

Still waiting on some shims!
Open the ECU and look for a daughter board... If you see one you can remove it and then use the UniChip....

Either that or you may need an FCD...
