non air con belt

i have been looking for the altenator belt for the R as i have taken my air con compressor off i got the halfors belt 845e and it is about half the width, surely this isnt right and it will slip on the pulleys???

I think (without checking) that belts a 4rib and the normal belt is 6ribs. The manal shows the thinner belt (somewhere :? ) for non aircon.

that belts fine mate, i did the same (more like zia did it for me) and ive had no problems since. :D

cant u just put a english spec sunny gti-r belt on as they dont have air con anyway ????

This was suggested before, but someone came back and said it was a different size belt to what we needed. :?
You'd have thought it would fit straight on but it doesn't seem to. Maybe someone can confirm this again :?:

No, a uk GTiR belt will not fit.
the jap pulleys are different size.

It's diammeter mate I tryed and it doesn't fit :roll: It was me that said last time this was asked I think :wink: .
