How do you guys fit bigger airfilters?

Due to the MAF (mass air flow) sensor you can only fit a small air filter.

Currently the engine is fairly standard (standard intercooler, battery under bonnet etc)

How do you get round it cheap and quickly??

Thanks

Make up a flange for it which tapers down to the MAF.I made up a cone shaped template from cardboard plus one for the MAF end and cut steel to that shape and got my dad to weld it.I managed to get an air filter with approx 15cm inlet on it to fit my MAF.
