mongoose front pipe problem?

i just got my new mongoose and i cant get the front pipe to fit, on the flange at the front which joins to the dumpipe theres a small lip which wont allow u to butt the pipes together.Should this have a lip :?: if so how do i get it to fit :?: cheers nis?

if you mean the lip in the centre of the goose around which the gasket sits it should compress inside the elbow.i think this is right anyway. :?
