what should the R be idling at? i have been told anywhere between 800 and a thousand is good

About 1k for me, standard apart from a goose exhaust

anywhere from 800 - 1k is normal/good for a stock engine.

exhaust etc does not make any difference.

Mines running 289bhp at 1Bar, and idles steady at 975 every time. Once its warmed up of course!

mine idles at about 1200, and it has for more than 2 years. I thought about getting it adjusted but from what I understand there isnt any real harm to a high idle. Guess it also helps the car warm up and the turbo cool down faster
