Heat shields with Mongoose.

Is it okay to remove the undercar heatshields as im getting an annoying knock.Would imagine some serious heat given off from pipe so didnt want anything melting or burning.Full mongoose by the way.

I've got the mongoose system and never had any trouble with any of the heatshields knocking, i'd leave them where they were

Have a look between at the frontpipe between the flexi joint and the de cat pipe, it runs quite close to the underside of the car and mine used to knock here :roll:

It might just need some adjustment

Yes mate thats where its catching.How do you adjust it to stop it? :?

I just loosened the 3 nuts where it joins the turbo, levered it away from the underside of the car and then tightened the nuts up again

Its still close :roll: but it dosent knock any more 8)

Will give it a try but its as tight as a ducks chuff! Dont know if i would get any movement?

I think i may have loosened the bolts off where it joins the decat too.

If that dosent work then theres always the crowbar method :shock:
