GTIR wanted - bodywork not important

Hi guys..

Basically im after a cheap GTIR..

What I want:

Im looking for a good Engine spec?
Managment?
Forged internals?
Proven power?
Big brake kit?..
Drivetrain with no problems..

What Im not bothered about..

MOT OR TAX
Bodywork can be rusted to hell or damaged or whatever..
Interior is not needed,
Suspension is not needed
Alloys are not needed
FMIC not needed
Tinted Glass or other 'body bits' etc etc..

^The less above- the cheaper for me^

....Basically an Engine and drivetrain donor car for a project..


Im negotiable on everything and willing to pay for things I can resell.. etc..

..If a cars complete ill pay for it, strip the bits I dont need and sell on, therfore recouping what I paid, for what I didn't want.. if that makes sense? ha ha

Ive got upto 2k to spend and ive seen exactly What I want go for around the 1.2k mark..

CAR CAN BE COLLECTED WITH CASH AND TRAILERED AWAY..

lol your looking at 2k for an uprated forged built engine alone!
let alone all the other bits


think youll be very very lucky to find that lot for around 2k, best bet is look on ebay, bargains do come up from time to time, but then everyone else wants them too! so good luck:lol:

Are you building a hybrid or do you have a GTiR with good body?

Going in another car altogether..

I know I can get what I want for the price..

Obviously Ill take somthing without a full rebuild, however im not paying 2k for a rolled Gtir with wot used to be a decent spec..

I do not think you will get what you are looking for all in one package.
It might be easier to pick up the bits and bobs from various sources.
Engines, management, brakes etc come up for sale often.
Just keep an eye out... !

you'd have to be one lucky person to get all what you want and not what you dont want for 2k good luck though there have been some bargains.

if you've got a bit of patience you will get something like that for the money, i have to say though they do not come up too often, usually the owner cant be bothered breaking the car so sells complete.

agree with bob, you aint gonna get out cheap with good spec,one did go last month with quaife etc for just over 2k but id still have my suspisions about that, my box and engine was 5.5k alone welcome to the world of long chats with the bank manager and financial ruin:lol: :lol:
