Fuel gadge stops working when i put my foot down

i have no idea what is going on :roll: when i put my foot down the petrol gadge seems to lose all power and after a 4-5 mins or so goes back to where it was even on a full tank :cry:

please please can any one help

Thats the force the engine sucks the petrol out of the tank with :lol:
