after toying with the idea of selling my r, its decided to punish me, just got in it and the clutch has about 3" of freeplay. on closer inspection theres fluid dripping from the top of it, i asume its the cylinder gone? if so is it a bitch to do?

Wellllllllllll if your engine was out its quite easy but your knuckles will be sore by the time you've sorted it :p

is it quite expensive for a new one mate?

dont suppose anyone has got a part no.?
If you do a search you will get the info i listed the part numbers before,

I replaced the internals in mine only which is easy once you have the damn thing out as long as the barrel (inside) is not badly scored then this is all thats needed off hand i believe the seal kit was about £35 from Nissan whole complete cyclinder is £76 odds ;-)
