Chopping Janspeed downpipe to make fitting/removal easier

Has anyone cut down their downpipe and welded flanges on(effecitvely making it a 2 peice) to make it easier to get at the turbo?If you have,pics would be great to gimme ideas on where would be best to cut it.

i havent got the janspeed downpipe but i have made my downpipe a 2 piece but putting two flanges in around the area where the mounting hole is for the exhaust by the sump.

if you give me your email address il take some pics in the morning and email them to you so you can see what im on about!
