UK Nissan Sunny gti-r for sale

Hello everyone,

I am just letting you all know that I am the proud owner of Martyn's old UK Sunny (AKA Daily Mail Prize).
I am just going through the car at the moment cleaning it and making a list of all that I think needs to be looked at (Just me being very picky).
The car is going to stay completely standard apart from the wheels (hoping to get some white OZ or Compomotive rally wheels, not sure yet).
The car isn't idling smoothly so I am looking for a good garage in the north east to take a look at it. A few of you have suggested Ferguson Porsche Gateshead, GTR shop and EVO tune. Have any of you had any experience with these garages and can recommend them?
I am also looking for a new or as new space saver spare wheel and a rear ash tray (missing from the car).
I will post some pics of the car after it has been cleaned but this might take a while (I work slowly).

Cheers
Justin Rek

I have 5 refurbished original wheels with new Toyo Proxes T1R tyres but my last UK Sunny (10 years ago) had a space saver as a spare. Can anyone clarify if the UK spec Sunny has a space saver or full size spare. Could save me some money by not having to buy one.

All 4WD Sunny/Pulsars should come with a space saver, since the place for the spare is not deep enough for a normal size alloy/tyre combo because of the rear diff.
Normal N14 (2WD) all have a normal full size wheel there (13' or 14' depending on engine).

I never knew that UK cars had a black space saver. My old UK car had a yellow one.
I'll have to go to a Nissan dealership and see if they still have any available.

Are you all sitting down!

I rang my local Nissan Dealership and got a few prices, all prices include VAT.
Space saver spare wheel 14x6 (black) - £98.81
Space saver spare tyre - they couldn't give me an exact price but somewhere between £30 to £40
Rear ash tray - £36.49
Best of all, Aerial that screws into the roof mount - £68.26

Wow!!

Is it sad that I really don't think those prices are too bad? - I've certainly seen worse value from Nissan that that.

I have two or three space saver wheels here that you are welcome to. Might be yellow, but I will have a look to see if there is a black one.

I dont think those prices are that bad for the spacesaver tbh.

Nissan have less and less gtir parts so price is going up.

I just bought a new genuine aerial and mount from ebay for £50.

Should spacesaver not be 15"?

Wasn't the standard wheel size 14" - Or is that for the Pulsar rather than Sunny?

It's why my spacesaver is in the shed; not much point using a 14" wheel when all the others are 16", but I guess you could limp it to a garage like that.

The standard size wheel is 14" but I am not sure about 14" x 6". That seems a bit wide to me, hence the name 'space saver'.
