you'd be better getting brushes from Nissan and fitting them to your motor.

every motor i've looked at has had fecked brushes, fitted new ones and it's back in business.

naaa, they're about 30 quid ish but that's all that's usually needed (apart from a clean out and a regrease)

Yep, that's what stumo did with mine the last time the engine was out and it was spot on after that.

A second hand starter could be just as shagged as the one your replacing. Just food for thought.
