Im looking to put my car into storage, and was wondering if anyone knew any good places to try, im looking for something along the lines of a single garage or container to rent for ad least 6 months

Shame your not closer to me in aberdeenshire mate I'd of stuck it in my garage for 6 months no problem, I'm down to one car these days so don't use my double garage apart from storing shit, I suppose a pulsar counts as shit lol.

i was just looking at that diamond self storage when you sent the message, just e-mailed them to see if they let you store cars since i cant see anything on the site

fuck me that is expensive. a local council lock up round our way is 30 quid a month.

if your struggling i have storage space available in my spare workshop. im clearing it soon to store a couple of other cars.

its fully insured and within a secure yard.

ok cheers ill keep that in mind, not needing it for about 2 months, but doesn't really need to be close since i wont be in scotland when its in storage

i messaged the guys in your 1st link and they said they don't do cars, cheapest one iv found so far was £62 a month in glenrothes

I'm pretty sure you can rent a container and do with it what you want. - I haven't tried, but I think you could fit a car in there and padlock it up.

I had a council garage for around 1 year, was just shy of £7 a week. Took them over 6 months to get it watertight then I was forced to give it up after the locals petitioned about my car being to loud and unnaceptable for the area......wasn't worth the hassle in keeping the garage!

Another viable option is to hire a simple lockup (if there is any in St Andrews). I know of people who have done this and despite it being around £150-200 a month if a few people share the costs its not to bad as they usually take around 4 cars with ease and have an electric hookup to allow you to work on the car as well.

I filled out the form to apply for a concil garage yesterday but god knows how long it will take fife council to get back to me since they are usally pretty useless
