replacement arch trims

Hi everyone

I am coming toward the time when I am starting to plan the putting back together of my car and fitting dome of the trim items.

The arch trims on mine seemed to be a starting point for a lot of the rust found around the rear arches and front wings.

To counter this I am having some replacements commissioned that can be bonded on instead of having to drill holes through the panels.

Would anybody else be interested in some if I get them made?

Thanks

the guy I use does all sorts of GRP and carbon etc. I was thinking something that looked original that I dont have to drill holes in my new arches or wings.

But I am open to ideas

I could also be interested if they looked oem.

I was always interested in trying to cast some polyurethane replacements, maybe with a fibreglass or similar core I looked into it a bit and belive it would be possible to make a close to oem trim. It's an experiment on my long long list of things to try. I also lack 4 perfect trims.

New trims are available from Nissan but were £90 each last time i enquired, you could cut the studs off?

yeah I could cut the studs off mine but I though it would be worth costing it up.

I would go for poly fibreglass ones that look stock personally but one you have good mold I suppose you could make them in whatever you wanted.

ok, just been chatting to my guy and need to get some numbers together and then we can get pricing. Carbon is going to be more expensive. The more numbers we get the better the price will be.

So if you put your name down and state the material and I will take it from there.

Im certainly interested in a price for a standard set if they look close to oem but these things often take so long I lose interest or can't commit come the time it actually goes ahead. (far too many expensive hobbies!)

So pencil me in but keep an eraser handy.
