New to pulsars and need advice

Hey. Going to look at a pulsar on 8th of Feb. It's stated its got 42,000miles on the clock. I'll be using as a weekend car but been told they're the worst cars and it's starting to scare me lol. Any make a car with the sort of power/age/price of these cars is not going to be a painless experiance.

Also how can it be converted to mph?

Boxes are generally good upto 400bhp but like any modified car, they are not bullet proof.

You can buy kph to mph converters and new dials no problem

Transfer boxes dont break, as above on gearboxes, engines are very strong, as are rear diffs. If you tune it mapping and set up is critical. See fusion motorsport as he has worked and tuned on more of the cars than anyone else with proven results and info not hearsay.

In more years ownership than I care to think about I've had zero problems with the transfer box, and only one issue with the gearbox. Keep on top of servicing, balance your modifications sensibly and it'll be a rapid, reliable Japanese hatchback.

Yer basically said if all goes well I'll be moving on and obviously got a lot of hate

I'd say gearbox and clutches are the only thing that causes some problems but only in heavily modified or abused cars. I've had one gearbox failure in 3 pulsars and that was covered by the abused comment. I was young and drove it with no mechanical sympathy what's so ever.

Generally these cars are very tough and reliable if maintained correctly. Start cutting corners or modifying badly and look out.
