Im thinking of selling up.

The car is 99% done!

Just needs rear callipers fit and blead.
front bumper and replacement wings need painting.
Needs an mot and vic.

I bought this car off Bob as a shell, the previous owner lost control of the car and clipped something which dented the two wings. only lightly but the insurance wrote it off. cat c.
Theres no other damage. only the wings so i cant see why it was writen off?

Since buying the shell, i have built an engine and installed it, fit G-force coilovers, 16" wheels with toyo tyres on the front and yokohama on the rear. all with good tread.
I have just fit a new windscreen because i cracked it with the trailor ramps when i picked the car up from Bob.

The car starts first time, no noises and has good oil presure.

It has a goose exhaust on, but im swapping my scorpion exhaust for a standard one next weekend so i will throw that in with the sale.

The original wings are still on the car and 2 black wings will be included in the sale.
the front bumper is an uncut grey bumper (needs painting) i have the old cut bumper the buyer can have if wanted.

No mot or tax and will need a vic (vehicle identity check)

I might get the mot and vic check done before the sale.

I just dont have the time at the moment.

The prevuous owner spent £3k on a respray and waxoil just over 2 years ago.

The body of the car is the cleanest ive had!

I dont know what price to ask so looking for serious offers!

Dont low ball me as i will just tell you to fuck off!

Ive put alot of time money and effort into the car!

It also has a dastek piggyback wired into the loom. will need to go on the rollers before you raise the boost to check the fueling.

I'd put a tarp over it and put it to bed for a while. - Come back when you do have the time (and possibly money) to finish it off and put it back on the road.

Yeah ive massivly got the pulsar blues mate :(

I'm sick and tired of working on them and just want something I can drive and enjoy over the summer...

I've been wanting to buy another mk1 golf cabby for ages now and like a div I searched and have found some nice ones at good prices. So now I have it in my head that I want one.

I could cover the pulsar up and forget about it, but I want to drive something lol I'm sick of driving the bloody family zafira around. Its just no fun

After all the work you've put in, if really does only need rear calipers fitting and a ticket then just get it done and get on the road and enjoy it. I think that you'll potentially loose a lot of money selling it as is; on paper an cat C with no MOT/tax isn't going fetch any where near the money the car deserves.

Yeah that's quite true.

Get the brakes on it, get an not on it and enjoy it mate - you're not that far away surely?

Yeah it is only the rear brakes that I need to fit for the mot.
And then paint the wings and bumper and its 100% finished.
I guess I am beig a dick! I'm just sick of working on them atm.

And you are right about the cat c, the car is better than 80% of the ones on the road right now, it didn't warrent being cat c!

I guess I will have a sit back, finish this engine build I'm doing and then get mine done and see how I feel...

Thanks Guys.

Fuck it - just do the brakes and the MOT; you can make it pretty later.... then it won't make mine look nearly as bad as it currently does.

I couldnt drive it around with the bumper the wrong colour George

Im gonna get the engine build finished on my mates car tomorrow and then have a break before i get back onto mine.

Its not really about the money as i have everything besides the paint, and thats only gonna cost £25.

Ive just had a right shit game refitting this bottom end ive built.

they say a rest is as good as a change!

i will see how i feel when ive got it finished and on the road...

It's easy to get down on them when they're not on the road. Once they are though you start to love them again, and all the pain is forgiven. :grouphug:

I wouldn't get rid Stu you'll kick your self for doing it although im seriously toying with the idea of selling mine when its running too. Have a break until you get the bug again. Im always stoping and starting on mine lol. Suppose thats why i never get anything done lol.

Thanks mate.

I'm keeping it! I've done a few little jobs on it today, and the main pain in the arse was my mates pulsar on my drive giving me hell! I've had a good few hours on that aswell today so I'm a happy chappy :)
