OK we checked the hoses to the right of the engine that run to the back of the engine. When you move them around it affects the idle speed and makes the engine run really unevenly, and even stall. The hoses attached to this blue thing - see picture - seem to affect the running of the engine, but...

I got the Pulsar back on the road after the new sills were done... thanks to you guys for your advice and help It is great fun to drive, once you get used to the turbo lag... It idles at 1500 - 1750 revs - must be too high, surely?!? Any ideas on what could be causing this and how to fix it?

Thanks, I guess re-gassing the struts is an option. .. Are they the same struts as for the Sunny Hatchback? Are they available from Nissan or other parts supplier?

Thanks for the info. I called Carz2 this afternoon as 4/5 door sills are better than none at all but someone bought the last pair of sills they had in stock just this morning!

Thanks for the info about Carz2. I contacted them, they only have sills for the 4 door Sunny. Do these fit the GTI-R? Or do they need to be so heavily modified that you might as well have some made up? Thanks again for your help
