Cheers guys, got a rear seal from Nissan this week and fitted today. Also need a front one now, going to need a GTIR chassis number to order one from Nissan.

Yeah Eurocarparts can get a pattern one for £6, are we definitely sure all SR rear seals are the same? I can't see any reason for them being different to be honest, I just don't see why the Pulsar's come up on Nissan4u with a different part number to N/A Primeras. My background is VE Primeras...

Yeah I'll phone up Nissan tomorrow and see if they can get one in.

Evening all, I'm after a new genuine rear crank seal for a GTIR, has anyone got one? Also, Nissan4u lists different part numbers for GTIR and non DET SR20 crank seals (ie. Almera/Primera), I don't know if they are the same or not? Cheers

Sorted it now, was a bit of carbon build up around the first port butterfly.

Yeah that's what I'm thinking could be possible, the throttle doesn't close fully everytime by itself either, often have to push it the last millimetre of travel or so and causes it to idle high. I'll take the plenum off and have a look. Going from the FSM it says you should be able to adjust...

Yeah I know the sandwich plate fittings won't be large enough for a cooler. I did have an adapter for the standard oil sensor but the thread was the wrong pitch, npt not bspt. So im looking for other options instead of just buying the first thing. The mocal ones do look good, they have several...

I have got an oil cooler here which I may fit, not sure yet. Im keen to run an oil pressure gauge though, which will help prove if the oil gets hot enough to need a cooler to maintain pressure.

Yeah I had dismissed sandwich plates as I thought they were getting on for about 100 quid, I don't know why I thought that, found this which I will use instead, much better solution...
