Common upgrade is from the diesel Primera which is nearly a direct fit. Only really worth doing if you are significantly increasing the caliper piston area. Increasing the diameter of the mater cylinder will trade pedal travel against effort which is worth keeping in mind if you are running...

Although static compression ratio doesn't mean a lot in the grand scheme of things, its the dynamic compression ratio that matters
Piston diameters in the Fiat calipers are a bit big for our master cylinder so will end up with a bit of pedal travel unless you upgrade to the Primera diesel one. Leon Cupra R calipers are a better match.

I know you've said its the very top of your budget but £3k does start to get you into much better hardware; custom KW's, custom Ohlin DFV's etc.
I was lucky in that I was able to pick up a set of Intrax for a very good price. I am yet to test them though.
Check for oil leaks around the oil pump cover, especially on a rebuilt engine. People get the blocks skimmed without the pump cover attached and then they don't seal properly, its a sh*t job to fix.
Having been a member of a forums with multiple generations of cars (cliosport, passionford etc.) I have found that generally it doesn't work that well as the interests are very different; owners of new cars generally are interested in superficial mods and "will this void my warranty" type...
