so mot day last week, all good except a few issues.
But the only one that is baffling me is
high carbon and hydro carbon or whatever its called, basically one read 13% and should be below 3% and the other was only over by 100 or so but figure they are the same cause.

but what im confused with is since last mot when everything was fine i think i only done 1500 or so miles and just normal driving the only thing that was done was replace a blown turbo which has done 4 miles on it now. turbo is basically the same

now my first thought is lambda sensor but the garage claim its not and they tested it and all seems fine,
and since ed is away i dont know where to start so any advice would be great

thanks

Have you gave it a run and abit boost ? How hot was car when they tested it ? Is it the hotter the car the better ? Was it static test or reving the engine

so it had an engine rebuild and is 4k old. so i doubt a terraclean is required
and what they ve told me so far is it was a static test and let run for half hour or so, and a 4 mile drive.
its in need of a service but cant see how that would cause it.
and has been mapped before the last mot.

and i would of thought if i had oil in exhaust that should of burnt out by now maybe, i just dont know

no not missfiring, i did think maf ill do the obvious things and a full service see if that makes a differnce.
fuel is new as was basically empty
oil in exhaust is what i thought but has had a good hour just running so would of thought it might of gone but you never know.
i checked for air leaks and cant see any
the mystery goes on

Yeah, I had a problem with the original one in mine leaking under vacuum at idle. - I guess it makes sense that it throws the emissions out.
