Engine finished!

A good news story for a change. It's been a long time coming after 2 dead ends culminating in me starting from scratch the 3rd time but there is nothing left to do on the engine except stick it in the car and run it in.

Long story short:

The bottom end has been rebuilt with the PAR rods again but will run 87.5mm pistons this time.
The top end has the uprated cams back in but has has been ported this time.

Plan is to run the trusty 3071 .64ar again but at a smoother more reliable 1.6bar rather than the 1.9bar previously.

Target is 400hp but with better off boost performance and a smoother torque curve. I'm really interested to see how the bigger pistons work out.

However, the car has been standing in the garage for 5 years so I expect it will have lots of minor maintenance issues to sort but 2016 will hopefully be the year it gets back on the road again.

As above; top work. - If you need any bits and bobs to get it back on the road speak up.
Obviously I can't offer anything as nice as your friendly Nissan parts dealer, but I've got a few things hanging about that I don't actually need.

Thanks George and Andy. Stu has offered to help as well so it might be just like old times! Need to get on top of a few house projects first as I'm sure you do too so will be a month or so.

I'm still unpacking things and trying to find homes for them. - The garage is full, but only to about mid-shin height.

I know I'm going to have to paint the hall, landing and kitchen at some point... then I can get on to the projector! :D
