Gtir stroker cranks come in 91 or 92mm...unless you have had one custom made from billet?

92mm is circa 8000rpm, and if it was a theory why does every manufacturer stay as near as dam it to that figure, even F1.

yeah mine was custom made from billet mate. ill change the word from "theory" to calc haha. Thats what i meant. Do you know what 90mm would come out as in rpm?

Thats only piston speed..your rod bolts might not like it or crank and so on..there is a fair bit to it...even piston ring type.

For the GTX3071r to make 500hp don't you need to run >2bar boost? What a/r is the GTX specified at to make 500hp?

2 bar is supposed to be around 540 optimum hp on . Will need a t3 .82 ar turbine .

I'm only on a t25 flange .86 housing and just a ported cast manifold. Everything else is done properly though, block from Danny and Martyn, Manley rods and JE pistons, heads all been gas flowed by Racing Developments, now has piper cams and Tomei cam verniers which are all set up by ed and 1000cc injectors. It has a swirl pot and clutch wise running an Os Giken R2CD, quaife box and Modena front LSD, standard rear! Power Fc management and HKS EVC 6 boost controller. Obviously the usual front mount and standard sort of mods, but that's about all I can remember off the top of my head! So hopefully if Ed manages to get it to run at 2 bar, that may be a good figure to give people good estimates for what it should make on a well set up car...... Hopefully!!

I'm going to pick it up tomorrow, but Ed did well, he managed 472.6BHP and 440lbft at 2 bar boost!

I think that could be an interesting "standard upgrade" (if you see what I mean) turbo Rob. - I'm sure people would be interested to hear what it's like... when you can tell us.

Well done with this guys, that is really interesting to hear and I bet it drives superb too.

Ed, do you think this tubby would make 500bhp and how does it compare with a gtx/hta3076

Hopefully mate 2013 would of been a lot better. I really would like to see how that new turbo and the upgraded top mount will perform together.

Plus my new quaife and all the other thousands of pounds worth of stuff too.
