Lost all faith and a word of warning to other new members

didnt you have a issue with a second hand gearbox? im guessing it wasnt resolved

Erm I've not had the time ask afew of the members on here! 1 lad knows how busy I've been and has been waiting for parts for a month (luckily he understands and knew before payment was sent!)

also where does it leave me? I bought the box in good faith from a well respected member on here I also told you that I hadn't tested it or even removed it from the box it was delivered in! You knew all this before you bought the box and you was also happy with that! At the time there was no company so NO warranty was ever given or even spoke about! The problem is you took 2-3weeks to get back to me and say it was damaged how do I know it wasn't done in that time scale? Like I said in the text I was willing to give you £100 back for the box but I am busy and believe it or not I don't sit down on the computer much (and you need to be on a computer to send funds to a new payee) 90% of the time I'm on the phone.

And just to add you didn't pay full price for it!

Yes he just did par synchromesh dog gearset for my car extremely clever guy bob has there does great fabrication too

He got plenty of time post when he wants but basically he don't want a 5hit box back.
Thought he was finding you a replacement from last topic discussion !
You paid good money, I only pay £100 for a box unless I split it for inspection, most are rough these days & in the uk things are even worse ...

give bob a call mate, he will have you sorted out in no time!! i had 1 issue with a part i got off him, called him up, was very appologetic and sent me another item out straight away, next day delivery too. reli nice guy to deal with aswell, any issues he is more than happy to talk ya through it to!

Got to agree with the op , i'd want all my money back, maybe the long term member you bought it off will refund you, if not, you're the one buying, selling and making profit from doing so, so when it goes wrong the loss should be yours also , which it inevitably will at some point when trading second hand parts, as you're selling stuff which you can't know works as you've never used it.

Dave, for the sake of your reputation i'd just give the man his money back, it's only right, plus from an outsider looking in, this looks bad on you in my opinion.

Do the right thing, and then go and have a word with the person you got the box off.
