I have owned pulsar gtir's most of my life,
I have blown 4 engines and gone through 2 boxes and still I have great respect of love for them,
And now I have 4 in my lock up, maybe another coming soon lol

I'd rather own a car that you know your very unlikely to pass on a drive of 5 miles - 500 miles and when you do see one it makes me weirdly exited? Lol.. Subaru and evo's are way way too common especially scoobs, I won't waste my energy turning my neck to watch it go by unless its an ra or a type r.
As for age that means nothing, give me an older version of a new car on the roads any day, that may just be my opinion but I don't enjoy driving new cars like I do my pulsar, i drove an rs3 last week, yeh it was fast but I didn't feel like I do in my pulsar, it didn't feel anywhere ne'er as exiting anyway

Im not saying anything about pulsars that makes them drop value.
But let's face it johnny johnny they are getting on and on.
There's only a certain amount of restoration work you can do to a pulsar
And it'll never be the way it rolled out from the factory.
Even Nissan have stopped production of most parts for the rare species.

All you members take it too personal.

Come on guys it's only a rot box with 4 wheels----lol
its a pice of metal like any car at the end of the day but you own one and still think to slate them or advise someone to brake one for parts. So back to my original question what is a good car to buy ?

I've got a big building project on at the moment. Due to various delays my house/new garage won't be finished until sometime between Easter and July and as soon as it's all done I'll need a Pulsar in my life.

haha i do admire your humour geetir:lol:

fair play to ya as you still own one and broke the shitter which theres nothing wrong with.

i actually do agree with what your saying in some respects but its still disrespectfull to all those that have spent shed loads on their cars to get them near to perfection as they possibly can.
i personally just think your on a windup mission and you still lick the bonnet of your gtir every night before tucking it in for night nights, you know you loe it really dont you:lol:

they are old hat now as you say but then so are the renault 5 turbos, jags, cossies, triumphs, fords, intergrales and many many others yet all these cars have a huge cult following and always will do.
fact is that many people just do not like new machinery, yes on paper it may be better, faster and more reliable but with older cars theres a sentimental value and a lot of pride involved to bring them back to either original condition or to make them as fast as they can be........thats the fun bit for many, the cars not an object to get from a to b it becomes heart and soul of the owner and thats one thing youll never get with a new car.

fooking hell i should write a novel im that good:boby::lol:

What i like about the R and cars of that era is the only driver aid is ABS, none of this other stuff that come on modern cars that you cant always switch off. I personally feel when i wanna go and have some fun in my car i enjoy making it round the corner as much as when i dont(i.e one of Bobs sprintdays), you get to know what your car can do etc

I agree! Also the tax kills anything new ish i like, like the monaro, £400 a year no way! Bang for buck i couldnt swap it for anything on four wheels. A track bike is on the list for next season tho!

Its the start of a whole new adventure Boby :) GTR ownership aint cheap or for the faint hearted. However im sure you will love it. Everytime i get in my car it blows my socks off. Just wishing the repair bills weren't so high as its in my nature to want to thrash the nuts off it lol. You will be impressed with the Fuel economy though ironically and insurance is fairly reasonable.
