this policeman clearly has nothing better to do and just wants to stamp his authority!i have a full mongoose system and people complain all the time but i just tell them im broke and im f*cked if im payin for a nissan item!!ignore this idiot and creep in and out of your estate at night like i do and the minute it hits 11am, make as much noise as possible.....

I was with another traffic officer today and asked a few additional questions.
He said that up to 89DB and he would send you on your way, over that and it would be a fine. However he said if the exhaust was too loud he would have you off to court straight away!!!!!!!
I asked about the VDR and if this could be used instead of a fine, however because noise isn't checked at the MOT this is not an option.
He has offered to check my car for me if I pop it in when he is on shift, will be interesting to see what level my cars at.

I have a goose on mine, and know that in the car, driving it normally its 99db, so thats me screwed!!
You might as well just phone the courts and book an appointment there if you do get it tested knowing its over that, dont trust the fookers, I did once before and they shafted me:evil:
Ask them to test if their sirens are below 89 db, and if not then why if thats the law?lol

I know what you’re saying, but it would not be in his interest to go down that road. The test was offered as a thank you as it is something I would like done out of curiosity. I'll report back if I get the chance to have it checked.

coppers stopped me loads of times over me exhaust bein too loud, number plate bein too small even though a standard plate wont fit an import. had enough shit off um just because ive got a nice car. you just have to try to bite your lip and be nice to them ,untill they get bored of it and go back to hittin other poor motorists with reveue raising fines. sad but true. steve

It's funny that you lot have so many problems; I never get pulled-over.
Sometimes they'll follow me, trying to make me nervous so I'll make a mistake (or is that just my paranoia), but as I don't do anything wrong (when they're behind me) they give-up after a couple of minutes and bother someone else instead.

I got pulled for speeding just before xmas. There were a few coppers there pulling people in and checking their cars all over. I had 1 really bald tire on the front (my MOT was due 2 days later so was getting it done then).
I was really friendly to the copper and was honest about the tire..... to my supprise he let me off and gave me the option to do one of those AA Driving course things for £72 instead of the 3 points and £60 fine. And told me that he should really give me 3 points for the tire as it was 'rediculous' and very dangerous. He also mentioned my exhaust (Mongoose) and said they all heard me coming miles off and knew it would be likely that my speed was over 30. He never said it was too loud though; just that it let them know I was coming and to get the speed gun ready lol. Still supprised he let me off.
